I specialise in creative in front-end design and online brand implementation, which means I make good looking websites that function well.

Detail is a marketing and communications firm based in East Fremantle. it has a dedicated team of public relations, events and marketing specialists with national and international experience.

Myself and Izzy over at IZZI visual communications are working on a book about Fremantle. It’s been a while but the project has gotten me to pick up a fine liner and start drawing again.

I’ve been working away most of October on a book about Fremantle. It’s going to be somewhere between a coffee table book and a guide book. The idea is for it to be of interest to locals and tourists. Phil, who is one third of the team, managed to get us in the paper.

It rocks when you do something that you’re really proud of and then it gets recognised by your peers. I was a finalist in the 2011 Australian Web Design Awards.

I took a gap-year of sorts when I finished studying Industrial Design before continuing on to do an MSc in Computing and Design. Model-making was a skill that I picked up from my degree and I subsequently spend a year in a workshop at the foot of the Dublin Mountains.

I lead a double life. When I’m not working on my own projects you can find me working at Media on Mars. They’re a design studio based in North Fremantle. You can have a look at what I get up to there after the jump.

Today I am imagining life before the microprocessor when computers had lots of knobs, switches, flashing lights and cool guys that looked like Scott Bakula pushing those buttons.

Lunch at The Fat Duck took us five and a half hours. That’s fourteen courses not including the cheese.

Alice Lee Holland is an independent choreographer based in Perth Western Australia: I designed a unique one page website that scrolls horizontally. It features a very simple navigation system so the user can instantly adapt to the new and more unusual browsing environment.

A Woman’t Touch is a true boutique photography studio and Werkshop was delighted to design and build their new site.

A relative date time stamp shows the time on a post or page relative to right now e.g.
Their rise in popularity is probably due to their use on Twitter and FaceBook. I’m starting to favour them now as it’s a nice change from the standard date format of 12.35pm 24/04/2011 or 24th of April 2011.

STATT consulting works with global communities giving analysis and advice. They needed a lightweight site with global appeal.

Baker Hughes approached Werkshop to design a presentation experience for them.

AGDA (Australian Graphic Design Association) had the idea that all members needed a name badge so the call went out for everyone to design their own. It makes smoozing a lot easier when everyone knows your name
Herodotus said “custom is king of all” but he was talking about killing old people and goats followed by a ritual banquet. Still the same can be said for web design.
This site is a custom design powered by WordPress and built using XHTML, CSS 2.1. It leverages jQuery Masonry using a base column width of 315px. PT Sans is the font you’re reading right now.

Early this year I was tasked with re-designing Castlebrook’s website. They present at a lot of trade fairs and needed a site that integrated well with their current branding.

Yellow filing cabinets are difficult to find so I made my own. Off I went to The Butcher Shop, purveyors of fine spray paints, and grabbed myself five cans of pineapple yellow Ironlak.

Blueface is the leading provider of Internet telephony in Ireland and it was a pleasure to work on their new site and create design elements for their brand.

The Greens approached me to design some campaign posters for the federal election in August 2010.
